Our first book, Inteligencia Artificial Para Abogados, is in preparation
A practical book in Spanish for lawyers and legal staff who want to use AI in everyday work, starting on free plans and putting client confidentiality first.
PlexorMedia’s first book, Inteligencia Artificial Para Abogados, is in preparation, so the details below follow its current plan and may change. It is written in Spanish for busy lawyers and legal staff in Spain and Latin America with no technical background.
Skeptical readers are welcome: the book treats doubt about AI as a reasonable place to start. It works in any Spanish-speaking country and reminds readers to check their local rules.
What it covers
Most of a lawyer’s day is spent away from court: reading, writing, filing, searching, meeting, answering email and keeping up to date. That is where AI is already useful at low risk, and the book covers nothing else.
Its 17 chapters, in five parts, go from one document, email or meeting at a time to a knowledge base built on the reader’s own files, research checked against its sources, and recurring tasks that run on a schedule. The last chapter turns those habits into a one-page usage policy and a 30-day adoption plan.
What it leaves out
Litigation is excluded on purpose: court filings, legal argument, case strategy and case law to cite. Mistakes there fall on the client and on the lawyer, and someone new to these tools is not yet equipped to manage that risk.
Its approach
- A useful result in the first hour. In chapter 1, the reader opens a free account, summarizes a long public document and redrafts a difficult email with no client data, then checks both against the originals.
- Confidentiality first. Before uploading a client’s document, the reader learns what to check about a tool: where the data goes, whether it is used to train the model, who can access it and how long it is kept.
- Free plans first. Every part starts on free plans and says plainly when one paid plan becomes worth it, and why.
- No allegiance to a vendor. Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Grok are compared on their real strengths and weaknesses.
Every chapter also says what can go wrong and how to verify the output. The lawyer remains responsible for the work.
Companion material
The book comes with companion material on this site: step-by-step instructions, updated as the tools change, and downloadable copies of the prompt library, the confidentiality checklist and the tool evaluation form. Readers unlock it with a code printed in the book.
